Our Mission

NGics Lab develops nutrigenetics and integrated omics approaches for animal biotechnology. We combine controlled animal trials with genomic, transcriptomic, microbiome, and metabolomic profiling to understand the biological mechanisms behind feed efficiency, growth performance, and gut health.

Led by Dr. Sungbo Cho at Dankook University, the lab translates molecular insights into practical strategies for sustainable pig and poultry production.

Our Approach

Animal trialsPig and poultry studies designed around nutrition, growth, and production traits
Multi-omicsRNA-seq, microbiome, metabolomics, and molecular assays linked to phenotype
TranslationFeed additives, low-protein diet strategies, and eco-friendly livestock platforms

Three pillars

What ties our research together

Nutrigenetics

We connect diet, genotype, growth performance, and nutrient utilization to identify practical strategies for efficient animal production.

Microbiome & Metabolism

We profile gut microbial communities and metabolomic responses to understand how feed interventions shape animal health.

Sustainable Livestock

We translate molecular findings into feed additives, low-protein diets, and eco-friendly systems for pig and poultry production.
